We are happy to welcome vet students undergoing clinical training, on a first come first served basis.

• EMS can be small animal, farm animal or mixed this should be confirmed at the time of arrangement.

• In order to apply for a placement, please phone the practice (016973 42174) or email (info@wigtonvets.co.uk) stating your details, year of study, type of placement required (small, farm or mixed and preferred dates, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

• Small animal placements can expect to be involved in a mixture of surgery and consulting

• Large animal placements can expect a mixture of routine fertility visits, emergency/sick animal cases, herd health visits and data analysis. Please bear in mind the split of work is partially affected by the time of year.
