Information, training tips and lots more........
Teething, appropriate play, positive experiences and preventing problem behaviours early……..
What to expect at this stage…
Your puppy is now more settled and ready to expand their experiences. This stage focuses on building confidence, reinforcing training, and safely increasing exposure to the world. Your puppy’s vaccination course should now be completed and we now need to monitor their development.
Teething
Just like babies, puppies go through a teething stage as their adult teeth come through, usually between 3–6 months of age. During this time, you may notice more chewing, sore gums, mild discomfort, or the occasional lost baby tooth.
At your puppy check, we’ll have a look inside your puppy’s mouth to make sure their teeth are developing normally and that baby teeth are falling out as they should.
We’re also happy to chat about safe chew toys, ways to ease discomfort, and how to start building good dental care habits early.
Growth
Puppy Fun Fact
At each monthly nurse consult, we’ll monitor your puppy’s weight and growth to make sure they are developing as expected for their age and breed.
Regular checks help us spot any concerns early and make sure your puppy is on track for a healthy start in life.
The fastest period of growth happens during the first 6 months of life — which is why regular weight checks are so important.
